The placid night is interrupted by the gong of the church bells. Misa and Light stop briefly on the side walk, staring up to the domes and counting the hours.

Misa murmurs, "It's 3 a.m."
Light's eyes focus on her again, "The hour of death."
Misa is quiet then adds, "The call of Kira's kingdom." The echoes of the bells reverberate through the halls of the holy building, "Remember how they sound. Bells are ominous of foreboding death. But when Kira is god the bells wont mean anything to him anymore."
"When I accepted my note" Light states, "I ceased to be a victim. I've been a God much longer than my victory has been certain"
Rem warns in an icy tone, "Don't be foolish though. You aren't untouchable yet."
Light agrees, "There's only one person that stands in the way of that."
The corners of Misa's lips turn up, "And to be rid of him would make Misa Misa safe, and it would make Kira the winner, and that would make Misa Misa happy..."

A deathly silence would hang in the air now as the sound of bells dissipated entirely from the air and echoed only in the ears of one man.

I love everything about this picture

I honestly think I enjoyed the little story in the author note more than the picture. Or rather, the story adds a realism to the picture that makes you really feel as if this is Death Note come to life. You two are Light and Misa. And in that sense, we looking in gain a greater sense as to what tragedies and struggles these two had to go through. That's what I love about this picture.

Thank you. i was never sure what people liked so much about this, but it makes sense that it's the story that explains the image. I really loved this picture because i had this story turning in my head. But it seemed when i uploaded it no one else got the same feeling from the picture. no one else "heard the church bells". i almost wonder if i should go through to adding stories to the other images.

The expressions in this picture are very spot on and beautiful. I love that the focus is on misa with he background blurred, but both people looking to her. Its such a gorgeous picture. ,3}
